Christmas is over, and we are already into the second week of 2013. It seems only yesterday we were watching videos of a monkey scratching his behind, smelling his finger, and fainting from what we assume was exhaustion. You would think that we have come a long way since then, but apparently (and thankfully) not.
Beauty and a Beat by Justin Bieber (Cover by Alex Goot, Kurt Schneider, and Chrissy Costanza)
As much as we love to pick on him, that Justin Bieber is one hell of a persistent kid. However, it pleases us that we are not sending you off to 4 minutes of Nicki MInaj and Bieber, we are sending you to this rather beautifully done cover by Alex Goot, Kurt Schneider, and Chrissy Constanza. This video has been the number one trending video in music, and considering that we are not over Gangnam Style by a long shot, that is an achievement in our books.
The title is pretty self explanatory; the video is about 12 kids that take badassery to a whole new level by ignoring attacking lions and eating hot pepper. The video has over 1.7 million views at the time this is being written and is one of the top 5 trending videos of the week so far.
Again, the title explains it all. This video has a quarter of a million hits, but has become extremely popular and is being passed around social networking sites like a pack of cigarettes in a prison. Although we might have screwed up the analogy, but you will find it in your heart to forgive us once you see a 1000 dolphins charge past a whale watching boat. No cusses were exchanged, and no one was injured, so it is thoroughly entertaining.
At this point any news about the upcoming Star Trek movie is enough to give us a nerd boner. Star Trek Into Darkness has an all star cast (pun intended), and is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. Watch this trailer, and geek out on how awesome the movie would be.
Family Guy makes Fun of Breaking Bad and The Wire fans
Apparently this has not been uploaded by Fox yet, so we’ve only got an unofficial link, but this week’s Family Guy made fun of us Breaking Bad fans (and fans of The Wire whoever those people might be). The video has several duplicates which are consistently being taken down by YouTube and persistently being put up by people such as you and me (or is it you and I?). Whatever the correct grammatical syntax may be, the video has gone viral within the last 2 days and will continue to top the charts this week, not bad for only a 40 second video.
This concludes this week’s addition of top 5 most viral videos, see you guys next week.
