As bizarre as the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S IV was, it does not take away from the fact that those who are due for a new phone in the next months are highly anticipating the latest Samsung phone’s release. The Samsung Galaxy S IV has been touted by some as the iPhone killer – we’ve seen them come and go, haven’t we? – but we’ve also read that the former is “less refined” than the iPhone 5 and that Apple has nothing to fear from Samsung. Always two sides to that story…

Leaks about the release details have surfaced. Rumor has it that AT&T customers will be able to get their phones by April 26 while T-Mobile clients will have to wait a week longer. If you’re on Verizon, May 30 is the date to mark.

Here’s even better news for people who do not do well with waiting. Today, April 16, you may be able to pre-order your Samsung Galaxy S IV – at least from AT&T. For $199, you can get the 16GB device. The 32GB phone will cost $249. It looks like the other carriers have not yet made up their minds on this matter.

Since the days when you can actually touch the Samsung Galaxy S IV are not quite here yet, why not tease yourself even more by watching the first blitz of Samsung Galaxy S IV ads to hit the Internet?

With the release date coming up, Samsung is embarking on a media campaign designed to, well, get people to throw their money at the newest phone. If you’re an Android dude/chick who likes bashing the iPhone, you’re bound to be disappointed by the first Samsung Galaxy S IV ads.

Most of the Samsung Galaxy S IV ads highlight a specific feature of the phone, although the first one is a teaser of what’s to come. I am not too sure about the “stronger” part, having seen just how easy Samsung phones deteriorate in terms of the plastic body, but who knows?
