We all like to have our cake and eat it, so to speak, but that isn’t always possible. Well things are looking up for... iLauncher Gives You iOS7 On Your Android Handset

We all like to have our cake and eat it, so to speak, but that isn’t always possible. Well things are looking up for all you Android users out there, as now you can have iOS7 right on your Android device.  Well, sort of anyway.  There is an Android app called iLauncher, which gives you the iOS7 theme on your Android run handset.

iLauncher

iLauncher provides a very similar experience to iOS 7, the same design features with a few added extras. Once you have installed the app your entire Home screen will look like Apple’s User Interface. The main iLauncher Android app features include smooth scrolling, the ability to uninstall apps from the Home screen and you can edit exit mode by pressing the back button.  You can support 5 rows mode just like the iPhone 5 models.  The apps have rounded corners and gloss effects. It also includes a dock bar.

The app costs around $2.  For further information about iLauncher, please head over to the Google Play Store.  This app is well designed and the interface is good.  One thing worth noting is that there is one feature within iLauncher iOS 7 users would like Apple to add to its next iOS update.

As a minority of iOS7 users have experienced some motion sickness when using the new version of iOS, this Android app allows users to disable the zooming function. (Actually, in iOS7 you can actually reduce the feature under, General, Accessibility and Reduce Motion.)  A further word of warning though, if you do decide to install the app, you should be made aware that you may lose the ability to add widgets to the Android Home screen although shortcuts can still be added.

Some people do want the best of both worlds, and although this isn’t by any stretch of the imagination a dual boot or full features of iOS7, it is a pretty cool theme. There is another iOS theme type of app available called Espier Launcher iOS7. This app, however, is free.  So I guess you can have your cake and eat it after all.
