Even the best of us fall prey to paranoia sometimes and think that everyone around us is out to get us. (Can you say A Beautiful Mind?) Or, maybe they’re just out to get our phones and see who all we’ve been talking to and whatnot. If you’ve ever suspected that the people closest to you are wolves in sheep’s clothing and have been using your own phone to spy on you, I’ve got some news for you – there’s now an app for that.

Appropriately named Catchr, this app will “catch” and record all of the activities that happen to your phone once you set it down. It won’t prevent any kind of unauthorized access to your phone, but it will keep tracks for you to follow later – just be sure you want to follow them wherever they may lead.

Find Out If You’re Just Paranoid…Or If People Really Are Spying On You

Even though I don’t think anyone (besides the NSA, maybe) is spying on my phone, the Catchr app looks like it would be fun to experiment with. Once you close all of your running programs, all you have to do is open up Catchr and hit the start button. After that, the app will record everything that anyone does with your phone, and then it will show those activities to you on a list.

Catchr will also record the location of your phone on a map in case your “friend” decides to take it across town. You think you’d notice your phone missing for a while, though.

If you think people are constantly spying on your phone, you can purchase Catchr from the App Store for $2.99. And, as far as I can tell, the app is only available for iPhones. While this is undoubtedly a great idea, you might find yourself with less people to hang out with, though that might turn out to be a good thing. Hey, if they’re stealing your phone, what else might they be stealing?

What do you think?
