Do you find yourself with several glass bottles waiting to be thrown out? Could you use some extra light in your home and don’t want to go out and spend who knows what on lamps? If this sounds familiar, I think there’s a new product out there that can help you re-purpose those glass bottles and add some neat lighting to your home all at the same time. For only $15, you can pick up a rechargeable USB cork light that looks just like a cork and will fit inside most glass bottles. Once you switch on the light, your formerly useless glass bottle becomes an extra source of light for your home.

And, if you think that’s a bit expensive for a USB cork, try finding a nice lamp for the same price.

Shedding A Little Light In Your Home

I have to admit – I like all kinds of “modern” lighting techniques, so these USB cork lights are right up my alley. And the best part? You can use them over, and over, and over again. If you charge it for an hour, it will yield you around 2 1/2 hours of light. So obviously, these probably aren’t the primary lights you want to have in your home, but they will no doubt do the trick for a special occasion, such as a romantic dinner, a dinner party, or whatever you deem to be a special event.

Imagine how awesome these would look if you also had a ship inside the bottle to illuminate in the dark. Who says you need to spend all kinds of money on lighting when you can pop a few USB cork lights in some bottles and be done with it?

What do you think? Would you use these as a lighting source for special occasions?
