I can still hear the sound of the Tyrannosaurus Rex stomping towards the 10,000 volt electrical fence that is no longer operational.  The water... Hack The Jurassic Park Network

I can still hear the sound of the Tyrannosaurus Rex stomping towards the 10,000 volt electrical fence that is no longer operational.  The water in the glass vibrates as Lexi shivers in fear and panic.  Enter the tri-toed claw on the top of the fence.  The once bleating goat disappears from the scene.  Suddenly a bloody goat leg gets thrown onto the plexi-glass topped jeep.  We all have seen it!  Jurassic Park!  A film of epic proportions!

But wait a minute hackers!  Do you want to be a part of the movie and relive the moment where Lexi (Ariana Richards) breaks into the Jurassic Park security system and gets the computer system fully operational again?  Because now you can!

Jurassic Hack?

Tully Robinson has created a Jurassic Park simulator which is based on the scene where Mr. Arnold (Samuel L. Jackson) tries to figure out what the annoying and completely obnoxious Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) has done to the system.  The name of it is Jurassic Systems and it is a re-creation of that computer system.

The simulator is designed to sound like a 90’s computer system and is in the UNIX style. “Unix system? I know this,” you may say.  By typing ‘help’ into the command line, you can engage with a few working command lines.  You can even activate Nedry’s irritating system lockdown, when you try to unlock the security system three times.  You have to try “access security, “access security grid” or “access main security grid”, just like in the movie!

“Ah, ah, ah, you didn’t say the magic word!  Ah, ah, ah!” Nedry will taunt you and make you want to destroy your own computer just listening to him (remember folks, its not really a 90’s computer programme!).  So if you are a Jurassic Park fan, give this a go and see if you too, can be a hacker like Lexi!
