In the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film, Ben Affleck, will be the new dark knight but he said Batkid is the best Batman ever.  Thats extremely high praise considering hes up against Christian Bale, George Clooney, Val Kilmer, and Michael Keaton!  But who is Batkid?

Miles Scott is a leukaemia survivor who was part of the Make-a-Wish Foundation where he was able to be Batman for the Day.  At 5 years old, he was able to save Gotham City and become a modern day hero to kids all over the world.

Filmmaker, Dana Nachman and Moving Train, have almost finished a brand new documentary on how Miles prepared for his big day.  The film will capture every aspect of the day that motivated thousands to come watch Miles beat the Penguin and the Riddler and save the streets of Gotham (aka San Francisco) yet again!

The film will be called Batkid Begins; however, the documentary needs to make $100,000 to pay for aerial footage of San Franciso, fund the soundtrack, buy music licensing, help with editing as well as special effects.  So far the projects team have managed to raise $47,000 from donations made to Indiegogo and there is still over 20 days left of the campaign.

Batkid has attracted many fans including famous people like Ben Affleck and even President Obama.

Deputy editor, Christ Taylor, of Mashable stated:One thing that struck me was how many people were holding up signs saying, ‘Save Us, Batkid,’ and I looked at those signs and I thought, ‘You mean that literally.  In helping him to live this dream, we were saving ourselves. We wonder why we’re not happy a lot of the time, and it’s because we forget this sort of thing. But here was an event that forced us to remember.

Always an inspiration, Batkid is gaining fans everywhere.  Lets hope they get the funding they need to persevere with the documentary.
