Event Log Explorer is an efficient solution for viewing, monitoring and analyzing the events, which are recorded in the Security, System, Application and other logs of Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 operating systems.

The standard Windows Event Viewer is a great tool for viewing and monitoring events, which occur on your system. Event Log Explorer greatly extends standard functionality of this service and brings many new features to light.

Key Features of Event Log Explorer:

Multiple-document or tabbed-document user interface depending on user preferences.  Favourites computers and their logs are grouped into a tree.  Event descriptions and binary data are in the log window.  Quick Filter feature allows you to filter event log in a couple of mouse clicks.  Compatibility with well-known event knowledge bases (EventID.com and Microsoft knowledgebase). Colour coding by Event ID.  Print and export to different formats.

The following changes have been made in Event Log Explorer 4.3:

Added Custom columns – you can extract information from description and display it in event list.
Added alerts by event type.
New API: Event description could be missing for some events. Fixed.
New API: Event category could be miscalculated for some events. Fixed.
Filter window improvements.
Added new analytical reports.
Added import tree options (when you import from a text file).
Option to show Record number.
Tooltips on tabs to display helpful information.
Minor fixes and improvements.
