Apple has officially announced the “Apple Watch”, not the iWatch, at their event in Flint Center, Cupertino. The Apple Watch is the company’s first wearable and is a huge change on the original idea of a “smartwatch”, using a new type of interface for pinch-to-zoom.

The Apple Watch has a rectangular design and a curved sapphire glass finish on the front. The curve is very small, but enough to offer a seamless move from the face to the edge. Apple has added a digital crown and on/off button to the side of the device and four sensors on the bottom.
