Who doesn’t like good music? And, who doesn’t like getting good music for free? (And legally, I might add). In an unprecedented move, Apple has decided to gift every person with an iTunes account the new album from U2, titled Songs of Innocence. This great deal will only last until October 13th of this year, so if you don’t yet have an iTunes account and you’d like to get your free album, you’ve only got a limited amount of time to do it!

Users don’t really even have to do anything to get their album – it automatically shows up as purchased and is stored in the cloud. The hardest part is clicking on the little cloud icon and downloading it to your device if you’d like to download it.

iTunes Users Get New U2 Album For Free!

According to Apple, they and U2 started to work together around 10 years ago, and they are happy to offer their new album exclusively on iTunes for the time being.

Are you a U2 fan? Having had the pleasure of seeing them in concert, I am most certainly one. If you’ve downloaded the free album, what do you think of it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below! (Oh, and in case you’re wondering, this deal reportedly cost Apple somewhere around $100 million).
