I have a TENS machine which I use for a couple of musculoskeletal irritancies that I have accumulated over the years; a tear here, a few screws there. Most of he time I can deal with these, but there are occasions when I need more than a couple of painkillers to get me through the day.  And that’s when the TENS machine comes out of the cupboard.

But it is getting a bit worse for wear so it’s a good job that Philips has developed their version of the TENS machine called, PulseRelief.  It also comes with a an App for for my smartphone too, so that’s nice.

The PulseRelief has the look of a set of wireless headphones.  It provides TENS (transcutaneous electronic nerve stimulation) therapy that is controlled from an accompanying iOS app. The app works in conjunction with the attached pads, which the user controls from the app.  It can stimulate nerves underneath the skin and thereby provide some temporary relief.
