Although 2014 isn’t over yet, we’ve been taking a look at the most popular, if not arguably the best games of the year so far. Destiny
This might be the most controversial and weird title this decade. Bungie and Activision set out to tear the industry apart with a ten-year shared-world shooter, based on four planets, which could progressively get more interesting throughout multiple DLC and expansion packs.
The reception towards the game has been mixed in the weirdest way possible - people seem to readily hate the game - even go as far as to say this is Bungie’s worst, yet the numbers and amount of usage in one playthrough make this one of the most popular games.
Hundreds of thousands of hours have been put into raids and other shared battles, alongside getting all of the major loot and solving all of the missions. Destiny players continue to be erratic in their devotion to the video game, which is good for Bungie’s salary.
