Have you been looking at smart watches to replace your old timepiece? Perhaps you don’t like the style of the new ones and prefer the elegance of the classic look. Well look no further! HP has recently announced its partnership with Michael Bastian, fashion designer. The MB Chronowing combines the new smart technology with the classic look of a fashion accessory. Although the timepiece does not have a touchscreen, it still features much of the smart technology.

The Chronowing will give you the option of perforated brown leather, olive green nylon or black leather straps. There will also be a limited edition that features an alligator strap.

You will be able to receive notifications and although it is relatively low tech, it highlights quite a few features. For instance, Bluetooth is available to connect to your iPhone (4s or newer), or Android using version 4.3 of the OS and up. It sports a monochromatic LCD display, has three buttons (rather than a touchscreen) and is quite similar to the Pebble Steel.

The watch vibrates for text messages, emails, calendar alerts and other notifications you decide upon. On the face, you will see messages and alerts and you can control a connected device’s music player. You can also check the current weather, sports scores and stocks. Being water resistant up to 5 ATM is also handy. And of course, you can tell the time, the watch’s main function. The best feature is its long lasting battery. The watch claims to last up to 7 days without a charge.

The 7th November is the debut of the MB Chronowing. It will apparently cost $350 and you can purchase it through Gilt.

The Limited edition Black Version will have a sapphire crystal coated display and alligator strap, will ship with an authenticity card signed by Michael Bastion, himself. There will only be 300 made and will cost $650.
