The TechBeat Windows 10 Rumor Round-Up

Microsoft’s Windows 10 event is upon us and we will finally get to see what the company has planned for the future of its operating system. This could be a pivotal moment for Microsoft; most new PCs now run Windows 8 but it is surprising how many people never upgraded from Windows 7. Whether Windows 10 will be a success or not, will largely depend on whether everyone finds something to like. Microsoft has said that it’s event tomorrow will “talk about the next chapter of Windows 10” but until then, here is a round-up of rumors and what we know so far.

Cortana Search Bar

This revelation came from an online leak and reveals that Windows 10 will feature a Cortana search bar, which will import all data from a Windows Phone onto the operating system. Microsoft's virtual assistant, Cortana, will give you information on the weather, local places and even tap into 3rd party apps fro updates. Cortana will be located on the task bar, which itself has also been given a make-over, with a new shadow design.
