I’ve become quite the avid griller over the past couple of years. My wife and I have tried grilling just about everything we deem “grill-able”, from vegetables to potatoes to chicken. We of course also grill the staple items – burgers, hot dogs, brats, you name it. I’ve also tried my hand at grilling quite a few steaks, and I’m not too prideful to admit they didn’t come out as tasty as I wanted them to. It may’ve had something to do with the fact I didn’t marinade them long enough, or I didn’t keep a close enough eye on them – whatever the reason, I don’t grill a whole lot of steaks anymore. They’re just too expensive to cremate on the grill! But there’s a new gadget available for pre-order that claims to cook your steak to the perfect internal temperature every time; in fact, it claims to do everything. All you have to do it put in the steak and tell it when to start.

Cinder Cooks Your Steak Perfectly, Every Time

It’s called the Cinder, and it looks a little like the George Foreman grill of old, but costs a heck of a lot more. In fact, it’ll cost somewhere around $499 when it releases, which is sure to scare off a lot of people, but for those who do hunker down and buy it, their steak grilling days might never be the same again.

Once you put in the steak, you can set the desired temperature on the unit itself or you can use your phone to do it while you sit on the couch. Once the steak reaches the set internal temperature, the Cinder will send you a notification telling you your steak is ready to eat. That’s it! No more continually checking the steak to make sure it’s not burning, no more flipping it over and over and over, no more biting into a piece not as done as you like it. I tell you, that sounds like something I could get used to. How about you? If you’re so inclined, you can pre-order one here.
