For anyone out there who has “fat days” every now and then, you can still have them, you just won’t be able to share... Facebook Won’t Let You Feel Fat Anymore

For anyone out there who has “fat days” every now and then, you can still have them, you just won’t be able to share about it easily in your Facebook status update. If you’re an avid Facebook user, then you know that you can choose from just about any emotion to share how you’re feeling – you just type “feeling”, and all kinds of emoticons pop up on the screen, such as: mad, happy, sad, angry, or fat. Well, scratch fat off of the list now. It turns out that emotion has been removed from the feelings list after a petition was filed to have it deleted. Some people felt it didn’t help any Facebook users who dealt with body image issues or eating disorders, and they may have had a point, but I would’ve chosen that feeling after gorging myself at a Chinese buffet and I don’t think I have an eating disorder. (Does always wanting to eat count?)

Facebook Won't Let You Feel Fat Anymore

Still, though, in the world we live in, it’s best to avoid things that could make people feel even worse about themselves than many of them sadly already feel. It remains to be seen if any of the other feelings emoticons will be deleted from the list.

What do you think? Do you use Facebook’s “feelings” very often?
