Reddit Bans Users Posting Star Wars 7 Spoilers.

It is a dark time for Star Wars fans who do not want to have the experience of the Force Awakens ruined.

Reddit moderators have banned dozens of users according to several tech websites in an attempt to balance the Force between the light and dark side of the internet. Reddit Mods took the decision yesterday after users started posting spoilers about the Force Awakens ending that mostly seem to have been written to anger Star Wars fans who have not yet seen the new Star Wars film.

In an effort to avoid having Reddit readers have their day and possibly month ruined, Reddit Mods aren’t just deleting post and subreddits, but are banning anyone they find posting “Star Wars 7” related spoilers.

While it is yet unclear if these users will be fed to the Giant Sarlacc pit of the internet, or forced to work in the spice mines of Kessel for all eternity, it is unfortunately likely that the bans may only be temporary.

In any case, blocked users can just create new accounts under different names if they are determined to post spoilers. Perhaps the greatest disturbance in the Force though has come through Sith Lord trolls who are repeatedly sending Reddit users unavoidable private messages revealing major point plots.

At this point, I would like to personally thank the Reddit Moderators for the thankless task they have undertaken. By trying to save Star Wars for others they have blinded themselves with Force Awakens spoilers and are now aware of every major plot point going. Please, take a moment to honor their sacrifice.

One Reddit Moderator, by the name of TheGreatZiegfeld stated:

“We’ve banned dozens of users so far for this. I think all the mods have had it spoiled for them by now. We’ll do our best to make sure you guys don’t suffer the same fate.”

Some Reddit users have also been actively seeking out Star Wars spoilers, of which there are of course, many. But then the path to the Dark side has always been easier to travel for the weak minded.
