Google Glass is the next big thing in wearable tech. Only programmers, celebrities and famous/infamous people have been able to get their hands on the much-coveted device, until now that is. On April 15 2014, anyone who resides in the United States will have the opportunity to become a Google Glass Explorer, but you will have to be quick, as the offer is only on for 24hours and the spots on the program are limited.
Google have just announced a plan to expand its Explorer program with a exclusive one-day promotion allowing anyone in the U.S. to buy Google Glass. As you may or may not know, the device is not yet commercially available; although the official retail release date of Google Glass is not known, it is expected to come later on in 2014.
Google recently wrote in a blog post, “Every day, we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too…So in typical Explorer Program fashion, we’re trying something new.”
This great offer, which will start on April 15 at 6 a.m. ET, will include a set of frames or shades for no charge! The public can sign up now to receive a reminder when Glass becomes officially available. Google said spots in the program are limited but did not reveal exactly how many people might be able to join the Explorer program.
Would you be willing to pay for the Glass experience at the release price? As always, if you would like to leave a sensible comment, then please do so in the comments section below.
