Just over a week ago we discussed the rumours surrounding the iPhone 6 but if you were expecting a redesigned iPhone this year, you may have to wait a little longer.
According to The Wall Street Journal, they have been told by people in the know, that the Apple’s next smartphone won’t be dramatically different to the current model. The report did not give anything away as regards the name of the new model or what, if any differences there would be.
In our article about the iPhone 6 rumours, we noted how much speculation there has been over the iPhone 5S being the next model. Although Apple has not confirmed anything, there are reports that the 5S will be similar to the iPhone 5 but with added colours, new green and gold designs.
It is thought that the new model for next year will sport a 4.8-inch screen, helping it compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4. Confirming long standing rumours that Apple will introduce a new design iOS at WWDC in San Francisco, The Journal reported on Sunday that the new version would drop the skeuomorphic design for “plain solid backgrounds and more white space.”
Apple is also expected to unveil its free Internet radio service at the conference, after closing deals with all three major music labels.
Depending on what Apple have to say at WWDC, will the new iPhone models be worth the wait?
