If you have ever slept next to someone who snores, you’ll know how frustrating it can be. Clearly it is a problem affecting a lot of us and that’s why Hammacher Schlemmer have developed a pillow that gives the noisy sleeper a “nudge”.
The pillow has a built-in microphone that can pick up the sonic vibrations that occur as a result of snoring. It then automatically inflates an internal air bladder, increasing the pillow’s depth by 3-inches. This movement can stir the sleeper just enough for them to change their head or body position.
To make sure that the user has time to drift off in to a deep sleep, the pillow has a delay of thirty minutes, stopping the inflation from hampering sleep. The microphone’s sensitivity has a couple of settings and the bladder can be inflated manually to the desired depth. The pillow itself has been designed to provide a sleeping position that not only deters snoring but to also provide comfort.
This is not a cheap option of curing snoring, costing $149.95 but if elbowing, kicking and the wearing of earplugs doesn’t work, then in my opinion it’s worth its weight in gold!
