Meet The New Chewbacca Furby

I can still remember the days when Furby ruled the Christmas season and there wasn’t one to be found on a store shelf for miles around anywhere. It didn’t seem to matter where you went, they were sold out everywhere, and their popularity took the retail world by storm. Until recently, I hadn’t heard anything about Furby in quite a long time – but the recent news I did hear is pretty awesome. With a new Star Wars film due to come out this coming December, it’s safe to assume just about everyone’s going to want in on the action, and the maker of Furby, Hasbro, is no different – that’s why they’re coming out with a Chewbacca edition, appropriately named Furbacca. Now, I’m proud to say I’ve never owned a Furby, but I might have to make an exception for this one.

Like other Furbies, Furbacca will connect to a smartphone app which will let you feed and play games with him. He’ll also make appropriate noises depending on what you do with him. His eyes will also show different images depending on what’s going on with him.

At just under $80, it’s not the cheapest toy on the market, but it is one that will be sure to bring endless amounts of joy overtime you look at it.
