Rockstar Games has officially announced the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date. But the bad news is it’s not coming this year. The New York company says that GTA 6 will be released on May 26, 2026.

Development on the game began a decade ago, but Rockstar only acknowledged it in 2022. GTA VI has been one of the most anticipated games of all time. Players will follow the story of Lucia, the franchise’s first female protagonist, and her male accomplice in the single-player campaign.

Windows Recall is rolling out to Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft is rolling out Windows Recall to Copilot+ PCs via an optional update. The feature, which was supposed to release a year ago, has faced many hurdles due to the fact that it captures the screen frequently, and saves the snapshots to be analyzed by its AI. Users can ask the AI about things they were doing, and the virtual assistant will pull up the information from the database that it created to provide relevant information for their queries.

Windows Recall is rolling out to Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft delayed the feature in June 2024 due to privacy and security concerns. However, the company announced that Recall would be an opt-in feature, and that the privacy concerns had been addressed. Windows Hello is now required to grand access to the app, and this is done via biometric authentication. The database is also end-to-end encrypted. A preview version of Windows Recall was released to testers in the Windows Insider Program.

Now, Windows Recall is being released to the stable channel for Copilot+ PCs that have installed a non-security preview update, KB5055627. Despite reassurances from Microsoft, users and experts are skeptical about the nature of the tool. Users can choose to uninstall Recall should they wish to.

Judge claims that Apple violated court order on purpose

Apple has been found guilty of breaching an injunction, which was intended to curb the App Store’s anticompetitive practices. Antitrust officials, developers, and experts had criticized the Cupertino company for creating a walled-garden, preventing third-party payment providers, and competition for app downloads.

Fortnite is coming back to iOS

Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers stated that Apple’s Vice President of Finance, Alex Roman had lied under oath, in a bid to maintain control over its revenue. The Judge said that Apple had willfully violated the court order, and told it to immediately allow third-party payment methods, and let users download apps from other sources. Apple has said that it would comply with the court order, but that it strongly disagreed with the decision. The company will appeal the order.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney wasted no time to celebrate the news, calling it a victory for all app developers and consumers. He also confirmed that Epic Games is planning to release the game on the U.S. App Store next week, if Apple extends the court’s friction-free, Apple-tax-free framework worldwide. In exchange, the company has offered to drop current and future litigation on the topic. Whether Apple will accept the offer remains to be seen.

Those are the minimum requirements to play Elden Ring: Nightreign, and they are pretty modest. In fact, these are quite similar to the original game’s specifications. The game is set in the same world as Elden Ring, but Nightreign has permadeath, which poses a bigger challenge for players. Gamers will need to survive for 2 in-game days, before fighting a boss on the third day. Nightreign has 8 playable classes to choose from, and each run will be unique thanks to randomized encounters. This is great for fans of the original game, and may also help attract new players who may prefer endlessly replayable games.

Elden Ring: Nightreign is slated to release on May 29 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S.
