Opera has released Opera One R3, an update that focuses on improving tab management and adding more practical AI tools to the browsing experience.

The new version is designed for users who regularly keep many tabs open and rely on their browser for work, research, and everyday tasks. Rather than changing the interface dramatically, Opera One R3 refines existing features to make them more useful.

Tab Islands, Opera’s automatic tab grouping system, can now be renamed and color-coded. This makes it easier to organize different browsing sessions and quickly switch between tasks without losing track of open pages.

The built-in AI assistant has also been updated to better understand what users are doing in the browser. It can respond based on the current tab or tab group and can analyze online videos, including YouTube content, to provide summaries or highlight key sections.

Other updates include support for viewing up to four tabs at once in split screen, quick access to Gmail and Google Calendar from the sidebar, and a built-in page translation tool.

Overall, Opera One R3 focuses on making heavy browsing more manageable, with tools aimed at keeping tabs organized and reducing distractions.
