Colbert Interviews Smaug

I know technically we have to wait another month until we can see the dragon Smaug back on the big screen in the final installment of Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, but that didn’t stop Stephen Colbert from snagging an interview with the mythical beast even though he hails all the way from Middle Earth. It seemed crashing into Colbert’s studio was no problem at all for the dragon.

Understandably, Colbert was slightly nervous to interview Smaug, as the dragon has a bit of a reputation for eating the talk show hosts who are brave enough to interview him. (He states that he gobbled up the hosts of The View; I haven’t heard anyone complaining about it yet).
