Best Time Wasting Mobile Games For iOS

When it comes to wasting our time in the most fun ways possible there is almost no better solution than Apple’s iOS platform. Whether you take a moment or two with Bad Piggies or simple start 95 games at the same time with Words With Friends it is easy to become distracted by some of Apple’s most popular game offerings. Game developers have practically begged users to pick up their apps during their spare time, even if that time is limited. The following list showcases some of the biggest time wasting mobile games for iOS.
Paper Toss
The premise for this game is simple, flick your finger and throw paper, footballs, bananas and various other objects into trash cans. While the game might sound stupid on the surface the physics engine is superb and the use of fans to push your objects away from the trash is awesome.
Users choose the level of difficulty they play at and new objects are always becoming available for acquisition.
Paper Toss is free to download and then you can earn new objects by scoring “baskets” or you can buy them outright via in-app purchases.
I love that the levels increase in difficulty and that objects purchases all move and actin different ways.
The best part about Paper Toss? You can literally play it for a few seconds and then come back to your game at a later time.
Bad Piggies
While still not as popular as Rovio’s Angry Birds series I actually find Bad Piggies to be a bigger time waster. While Angry Birds typically involves understanding the movements of each bird, Bad Piggies requires users to create vehicles using a variety of spare parts which all force the piggies to move in different ways.
What makes this game a time waster is the fact that its so intuitive. It is extremely easy to move parts into place with a simple drag and drop setup. However there are so many motors, rocket boosters, wheels and other components that I have literally found myself trying to figure out levels while taking a relaxing walk.
Unlike Angry Birds which I would often get bored with after a few rounds of the same slingshot motions, Bad Biggies always has new objects and surprises up its sleeve that do not interact with the same as prior levels.
They might be Bad Piggies but they are delightful to waste time with.
Doodle Jump
Why do I like this game? The premise is super easy, simple tilt your device from side to side and jump on platforms while avoiding objects.
I believe the most addictive part of this time waster is that it becomes very easy to just continually restart levels when you fall down after missing a platform.
The games easy and intuitive controls also makes this game a simple one to start up, play a level and then move on.
I also like that the game is fun for all ages. Stuck at a traffic light with a bored child? Hand them Doodle Jump and it will be completely appropriate for them to play.
iOS games are time wasters in general, the games listed above were simply chosen because they are simple too boot up and play and they all offer varying types of level difficulty that often leads to repeated play in an attempt to move forward onto new levels.
