It’s the last day of November, and time’s flying by so quickly. Before we know it, Christmas morning will be here! Have you got your Christmas shopping all done, or have you at least started? If you are looking to give a smartphone to a loved one for the holidays, and you have not decided which one yet, here is a quick smartphone holiday gift guide.
For the high rollers
iPhone 5
If money is not an issue, and you want to give someone a smartphone that just works, then it’s a no brainer. The iPhone 5 is your best option. Prices start at $199 (16GB) from the Apple Store. Of course, if you want to save a bit, then the iPhone 4S is not such a bad choice as well.
Samsung Galaxy Note II
If you’re buying a smartphone for someone with awfully big hands, then the Note 2 is the best choice. Or if that someone has eyesight problems. With a 5.5-inch screen, this phone will suit that person perfectly. Seriously, though, the Note 2 also has a pretty awesome camera.
Samsung Galaxy S III
If your loved one prefers Android to iOS but does not want something so big as the Note II, then the S III is a good alternative. The prices are more competitive as well. Additionally, this phone has garnered some of the best reviews for being the most balanced smartphone overall.
For those on a budget
Not everyone can afford to splurge on expensive gadgets, so this smartphone holiday gift guide includes items for those who want to give something nice, but not so bank-breaking.
HTC One X
HTC makes great phones even though they may not be as high profile as Apple and Samsung, and the HTC One X is available from AT&T and Sprint for dirt cheap. With a contract, of course.
Motorola Droid RAZR M
For just as cheap, you can get a Motorola Droid RAZR M, which still gives the user lots to be happy about: from the dual-core processor to the battery life to the camera. Just don’t expect too much in terms of video recording, though.
LG Nexus 4
If you’re fortunate enough to find one, then the newly released Nexus 4 will be a good choice. It may not have LTE, but if you’re not bothered about that, this “tiny” phone will make someone very happy during the holidays. And beyond.
