Well, if you were looking to get your hands on one of the blasters Han Solo used in some of the Star Wars movies,... Blaster Used By Han Solo Sells for $200,000

Well, if you were looking to get your hands on one of the blasters Han Solo used in some of the Star Wars movies, you have recently lost your chance. This particular blaster, which is believed to have been used by Harrison Ford in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, was just sold for $200,000 at an auction.

This particular blaster was not the one that was used for the up close shots in the movies. It is a model based off of the Mauser C96 line of semi-automatic pistols which came out of Germany until the 1930’s. Obviously, this is not the same blaster used by Han Solo in A New Hope. It is a remake of that gun. Apparently someone misplaced that blaster after A New Hope was filmed, and it has never been found even to this day. It’s probably displayed on someone’s wall somewhere.

Blaster Used By Han Solo Recently Sold

You Could Have Owned A Piece Of Star Wars History

I don’t know what kind of memorabilia you collect in your home, but what Star Wars fan wouldn’t jump at the chance to own the blaster pulled out of Han Solo’s Hand by Darth Vader himself? In case you’re wondering what scene I’m talking about, it’s the one from The Empire Strikes Back where Vader uses the force to pull Solo’s blaster to his own hand, ruining any chance of the rebel’s escape. You should go back and rewatch it; it’s a classic scene.

Even though it sold for $200,000, it was expected to sell for close to $300,000. Who knows what one of the lightsaber props would sell for. Seriously, though – could you imagine displaying an actual weapon used in the Star Wars movies in your home? You’d have the best collection around your neighborhood! (I’d also suggest getting a security system).

Who knows – maybe Luke’s lightsaber from Return of the Jedi will go up for sale and I can afford it – highly doubtful, though. Still, it’s nice to dream every once in a while.
