Adobe Photoshop CS3 is a great application for image manipulation. There are so many different ways that you can edit your images and enhance your work. In this article we will very briefly discuss the brush tool. The brush tool is a basic painting tool. It works like a traditional drawing tool by applying the colour using strokes. The tool is located in the standard Tool Bar.
You can download various brushes from the Internet for free-just search around until you come up with what you need. The file you download should be a .abr file. Once you have downloaded your .abr file you need to put the file into the correct folder on your system. For Mac OS X the folder is located in Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Presets/Brushes or if you are using Windows you should put the file into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop\Presets\Brushes.
Next you need to open Adobe Photoshop and activate the brush tool. Navigate to the option palette and click on it to open the brush preset picker. You want to click on little triangle in the right upper corner. Now you need to choose the option to ‘Load Brushes.’
In the dialog box that appears you need to choose the .abr file you want to load and your new brushes will appear in the Brush palette and are now ready for you to use. That’s it!
You can download Adobe Photoshop CS3 from FileHippo.com, today.
