Samsung is making some aggressive moves with the Galaxy Note 4, after losing share price due to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus... Samsung Galaxy Note Faster 4 Launch in China to Beat Apple‏

Samsung is making some aggressive moves with the Galaxy Note 4, after losing share price due to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch. The South Korean company was looking to announce the Galaxy Note 4 on October and later in China, but this will be escalated.

SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus will sell the Galaxy Note 4 in South Korea, which will go on sale for 957,000 Korean Won ($920), the lowest price Samsung has ever set for the Galaxy Note smartphone, an aggressive move to make more sales in a shorter time period.

Samsung has also changed their gameplan in China, reducing the price of the Galaxy Note 4 for pre-order and ramping up production. Samsung’s high-end phones have never been winners in China, with Xiaomi and other brands normally beating them out.

In Asia however, the Galaxy Note 4 is seen as one of the best devices, due to its large size. We see in South Korea, Samsung’s home country, phablet adoption is much higher and a lot of Korean smartphone users enjoy the larger screen from Samsung and LG.

Selling 15 million units in a month of sales is a big ask for Samsung, but they have had to upgrade their quarterly predictions, after Apple managed to sell 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units in the first three days of sales.

The Galaxy Note 4 has a lot of advantages over its predecessor, including a Snapdragon 805 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and the fingerprint sensor. Samsung will be adding a metal frame onto the Galaxy Note 4, to fit with their change to metal.

In Europe and the United States, Samsung has been heavily marketing the Galaxy Note 4 against the iPhone 6 Plus, but some of the ads have come off as focusing more on the iPhone 6 Plus and less on the Galaxy Note 4, giving Apple adverse promotion.
