AVG Releases New Products For 2017

Security software heavyweights AVG have revealed three releases for 2017 – AVG Internet Security-Unlimited; AVG AntiVirus FREE; and AVG PC TuneUp.

Developed to cover all your online security, antivirus, anti-malware and device-optimisation needs, this trio from AVG have much to offer users. So what’s new for 2017?

AVG Internet Security-Unlimited
As the name suggests, AVG Internet Security-Unlimited can be installed on every computer in your home to protect the whole family at no extra cost. And an added bonus is that it now includes AVG’s AntiVirus PRO app to protect unlimited Android phones and tablets.
New features include:

• New interface makes it easier than ever to monitor all your layers of protection
• ‘Scan Computer’ now quickly scans for malware, unwanted toolbars and browser extensions, and PC performance problems in a single click
• New ‘Deep Scan’ option lets you specifically target hidden threats with a longer, more intensive scan of your entire computer
• Improved identification of never-before-seen threats by sending potential malware to AVG’s servers for deeper analysis

AVG AntiVirus FREE 
New features for this popular security software include:

• New interface makes it easier than ever to monitor all your layers of protection
• ‘Scan Computer’ now quickly scans for malware, unwanted toolbars and browser extensions, and PC performance problems in a single click
• New ‘Deep Scan’ option lets you specifically target hidden threats with a longer, more intensive scan of your entire computer
• Improved identification of never-before-seen threats by sending potential malware to our servers for deeper analysis
• Now blocks unsafe downloads before they reach your PC (previously a paid feature)
• Now security updates are automatically pushed to your PC in real-time (previously a paid feature)

AVG PC TuneUp
AVG PC TuneUp is a single tune-up package that lets you clean, fix and speed up an unlimited number of Windows PC, Mac, and Android devices.
New features for 2017 include:

• New Automatic Software Updater: Checks and updates popular applications to patch vulnerabilities, fix bugs and even add new functionality
• Improved Sleep Mode: New Program Deactivator puts resource-draining background and startup programs to sleep using a patented technique – and wakes them up when you need them. Makes your PC feel new again, no matter how many programs you’ve got installed
• Improved Disk Cleaner and Browser Cleaner: Removes leftover files and traces from more than 220 programs, Windows features and now even the latest browser releases, such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

The sharp-eyed amongst you may have noticed the lack of year in the names of AVG’s 2017 launches. Instead of making you wait for a single big-bang release each year, AVG now push updates to you automatically – which is why they’ve dropped the year from their product names. And new features? You’ll automatically get those whenever available, too. Nice.
