Best Games for Xmas 2012

As the holiday season fast approaches, you may wonder what to get your favorite gamer for a gift.  If you haven’t gotten hints or outright requests yet, here is a list of the most popular games that will be found in everybody’s  stocking this year.

 Call of Duty Black Ops 2

This game was just released and it may become the biggest game ever.  The other games have millions of fans all over the world and the second instalment promises to be even bigger. It features new weapons and characters for both single player and multiplayer.

Halo 4

This game was released earlier this month and has a major following with approval by both critics and players.  The return of Master Chief had many fans anxious to get their hands on the latest installment of the popular series.  This is a first-person shooting game and is actually the first instalment of a trilogy despite its number 4.  It takes place four years after the end of the last Halo game.

Assassins Creed 3

This new game is set during the American Revolution for a brand new world that characters can explore.  It will also feature new elements and will be available for the new Wii U as well as the other consoles.  A new protagonist has been added, with muskets and rifles.  The characters can also wear disguises and hiding places for the characters.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

This game has received a lot of hype with popular characters from Sony for a battle of up to four people.  You will see characters from God of War, Sly Cooper, and others.  The game provides single-player activity along with multiplayer options with matches based on time or a certain number of kills.  It will be released on PS3 and PS Vita.

Hitman Absolution

This is a stealth game with a new multiplayer capability.  It will be played on the Xbox-360, PlayStations 3, and PC.  The goal of this game is that Agent 47 has to protect a girl while trying to defeat a conspiracy against him.
