This is the latest release in the game series and is a sequel to Killzone 3 and is a first person shooter game.  This is created by Guerilla Games and will only be available for the PlayStation 4.

The Setting

The game takes place in a futuristic environment some 30 years after the where the Killzone 3 left off and two forces are stalled in a cold war like setting. It resumes the first person shooter role of a Shadow Marshal, a special force responsible for maintaining the fragile balance between the two rival factions known as the Helghast and the Vektans who live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall. Life on the Helghast home planet Helghan has been left in devastated after the war. The Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) permits Helghast refugees to resettle on planet Vekta. The Vektan and Helghast splinter groups are living in a city which is divided by a large security wall.

Killzone: Shadow Fall

So, this is essentially a story about the loss of home, which is certainly what is shown here with Helghast soldiers tearing up the city with volleys of gunfire and explosions.

Gameplay

This game has increased mobility and openness of environment over its predecessors.  It is also more graphically-impressive and action-packed franchises on the new PS4 platform.  While the backdrop of the city is beautiful and serene, this quickly changes as war escalates and leaves the people and the city in despair.

The game also makes the most of the PS4’s DualShock 4 controller which utilizes a touch-screen.

You’ll be required to take part in “bold attacks” and “quiet infiltrations or all out combat,” you’ll also need to “adapt and think on your feet as you have to face a variety of escalating events that could destroy your home world.”

Finally, one of the coolest things that can be done with game play footage is that it can be saved and uploaded to Facebook through PlayStation 4â€Čs ‘share’ button.
