Are you someone who still uses iTunes as their main platform for digital music? I don’t know how often you frequent the iTunes store anymore with the increase in streaming services such as Spotify and Beats Music, but they’ve now added a completely new “Free on iTunes” section that’s bound to have deals you can’t beat on certain songs and TV shows.

iTunes Adds A New Free Section

After all, who doesn’t like getting something for free? (While Spotify’s cheap, it’s still not free). You may have noticed at the beginning of the year iTunes did away with their free single of the week, replacing it with this new free section.

You can go to iTunes and click on “Free on iTunes” on the right-hand sidebar and get whatever you’d like on the list completely for free. (Just a tip: Click on the “See All” button as only the featured downloads are pictured).

As of right now, there seems to be around 16 songs and 27 episodes of TV shows, and they’re not all artists or shows I’ve never heard of, which is what you might expect when they’re being given away as free downloads.

At this time, it’s unknown just how often the free list will be updated, but hopefully it’ll be weekly or at least bi-weekly. What do you think? Will you be checking it out, or are you happy with whatever streaming service you use? Let us know in the comments section below.
