When Apple execs unveiled OS X Yosemite at WWDC 2014 it soon became clear that Apple wanted to embrace desktop users, perhaps more so than Microsoft with Windows 8. Our recent poll showed just how unhappy you have been with Windows 8 and that’s despite the attempts to put things right with Windows 8.1.

So let’s take a look at what OS X Yosemite can offer you that Windows 8 can’t.

Yosemite Makes It Easier To Switch Devices

Switching between your Mac and another iOS device, like an iPad for example, is about to get a whole lot easier with Yosemite. If you begin writing an email on your iPad but then decide to head to your Mac, then you'll receive a message on your screen telling you about the unfinished email, giving the option to finish and send it. We don't know of any such feature in Windows 8.
