This Flux Capacitor Charger Takes Your Car Back In Time

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve loved the Back to the Future movies since I saw them for the first time years ago. I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of traveling back in time and even going into the future. Those classic movies introduced us to classic tools of the trade, such as the DeLorean, the Hoverboard, the Power-Lacing Nike shoes – and, of course, the little device that helps make time travel even possible in the first place: the flux capacitor.

Unfortunately, we can’t get our hands on many of those things – even in the year 2014. But we can get our hands on a flux capacitor charger that’s sure to impress anyone who dares ride in our vehicles. And this charger is so close to the real thing it’ll have drivers having to control themselves from constantly wanting to see what happens when their cars hit 88 MPH.

This charger, created originally as a prank by Thinkgeek, will actually be available as a real product this coming September – and want-to-be time-travelers can pick one of them up for $24.99. This flux capacitor plugs nicely into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter port and will give you 2 USB ports to charge your devices. But better than just charging them, it’ll blink and pulse with energy just like in the movies (unless you want to turn that feature off – though I can’t imagine why you’d do a thing like that).
