Gamers rejoice as E3 2019 kicks off in LA

One of the world’s biggest gaming conferences kicked off in style yesterday. Don’t worry, there’s still time to get a piece of the action…

E3 2019, which takes place in Los Angeles, brings the biggest names in the gaming industry together.

While at the event, the wide array of mega brands – from Xbox to Nintendo – get a chance to announce their latest news on the world stage.

Maybe we’re being a bit harsh on E3 when we say ‘one of’ the world’s biggest gaming conferences. Mirror Online and others are dubbing it ‘the’ biggest event of its kind this year.

Special highlights this year are likely to include big announcements from EA, Xbox and Nintendo. Meanwhile the absence of Sony’s PlayStation has not gone unnoticed.

Yes, that means that, despite all the talk about the much-anticipated PlayStation 5, we’re unlikely to hear anything about it at this event. But don’t fear, there’s bound to be lots more to keep us talking and intrigued!

The main E3 2019 details that you need to know

So, now you know how much of a big deal it is, you need to know the details. Essentially, E3 2019 kicked off yesterday (June 11) and will run until tomorrow (June 13).

Despite the published timeframe, there have already been several briefings in the run-up to the launch.

Where’s it taking place? The Los Angeles Convention Centre, of course! We’ve seen images from yesterday which prove how much interest there is for E3. The place is packed out and there have already been a couple of celebrity cameos (Cough, Keanu Reeves, cough)!
