I’m not too old to be ashamed to admit that I still love all things comic books. For as long as I can remember, comics and superheroes have played a big part of my life. I collected the comics, the action figures, the movies, you name it and I probably had it at one time or another. And while I could pop in a movie and watch Wolverine duke it out with Sabertooth any time I wanted, it wasn’t the same as actually being there and witnessing it first hand. No matter how close I sat to the TV, I was still so far way from all of the action. You might be thinking…”uh, superheroes don’t exist, pal…,” and while you would technically be correct in one sense, you would also technically be wrong all at the same time.
Marvel is about to do something that has never been done before. They are bringing their heroes to us (as long as you live in the US or Canada, I should add). Think of it as a kind of Marvel traveling circus. What could be better than that? I can’t think of too many things.
The Marvel Experience
The Marvel Experience promises to give fans an experience they’ll never forget. The experience will take place in and around a giant dome that doubles as the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. And this won’t be happening on the small scale. The dome will take up approximately 2 acres and at points will reach a height of 6 stories. The experience will include a very large scale motion ride that is sure to thrill.
And yes, fans will be able to interact with all of their favorite Marvel characters.
Costs and exact dates aren’t known as of right now, but it is known that the Marvel Experience will set up camp for multiple dates at select cities in 2014.
