Apple has officially announced the “Apple Watch”, not the iWatch, at their event in Flint Center, Cupertino. The Apple Watch is the company’s first wearable and is a huge change on the original idea of a “smartwatch”, using a new type of interface for pinch-to-zoom.
The digital crown is the big interface change on the Apple Watch, allowing users to twist the crown to zoom in and out, and press to go back to the home screen. The home screen has completely changed from the normal iOS8 view, showing an apps pool, where the user can swipe to find more.
