With the development of larger displays for all kinds of Smart devices, such as tablet computers and mobile telephones, developers have been working to ensure, amongst other things, the size of the text is readable on larger displays.

In line with this, software developers at Google have updated the Gmail app for the Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models.  The update has been undertaken in order for the app’s text to fit better on the devices’ larger displays.

The Gmail app for iPhone or iPad brings the best parts of Gmail to your Apple device, with real-time notifications and multiple accounts support.

Key features include:

  • View profile pictures as part of the conversation.
  • Signature and vacation response editing.
  • Auto-complete contact names as you type from your Google contacts or your phone.
  • Respond to Google Calendar invites from the app.
  • Send and receive attachments.
  • Customize emails with custom scribbles.

The iPhone 6 and the larger companion model, the iPhone 6 Plus, have been available for just over a couple of weeks now. Although the initial response by the general public has been mostly great, (bending issue aside) some of the early reviews regarding Gmail’s email app for the new iPhone models, have complained about “fuzzy” text in a zoomed view on the bigger screens of Apple’s flagship devices.

This update appears to fix this issue, but there does not appear to be anything else in this update apart from this alteration? The Gmail update — interestingly named “Version 3.1415926” after Pi — is available, as usual, for no charge over at the usual Apple app store.
