The new Player Analytics tool is coming to Google Play Developer Console in the next few weeks. The new tool has been designed to give developers lots of data, from reports of sessions and average spending patterns to how players are progressing through their games. As a developer you can also set a daily revenue goal then and use the reports that are produced to assist in boosting in-app purchases or add other features as the need arises.

Google have also unveiled updates for developers on its Google Play Games platform. The focus of which is on more effective audience targeting. Senior Product Manager of Google Play Games, Greg Hartrell, said the tool will assist developers to create realistic benchmarks. It will also help the developer to better understand revenue per paying users and sessions.

One of the new tools is going to be an update to Google’s AdMob platform. This will give developers better native ad options. The update is currently rolling out in a limited beta, but the new tool will allow developers to customize the Google ads. AdMob will also analyse the games’ players in order to predict those that are more likely to spend money on in-app purchases, and allow developers to create custom advertising to specifically target these players. This new feature of AdMob will be available for free to AdMob users soon.

AdMob will also add an Audience Builder tool to allow developers the ability to create lists of players to target features based upon how they are interacting with the game. Greg Hartrell also said this will allow the developers to deliver specific messages or sales to give their audiences the most tailored experience they can have, according to their gaming behaviour. The new updates should allow Google Play Games developers growth in both their audiences and revenue.
